We are looking for volunteers to showcase the diverse and wonderful roles that technicinas carry out across the University. We would like to produce a few 5 minute videos consisting of an interview and showcasing your work!

Any technical role will be considered but we are particularly looking for roes in these sectors:

Hosted at the Department of Engineering, come along for a tour, do some networking or to hear how the University is engaging technical staff via the Technician Commitment.

This series of meetings are for technical managers and leaders across the University to meet informally and talk about the successes and challenges of this part of their role.

Have you ever wished you could get 10 minutes with a senior colleague to ask their advice on how they would handle something? Are you interested in the career pathways of senior technical staff? Have you ever wondered how others approach challenging problems? This is your opportunity to ask.

Want to know how a senior member of technical staff got where they are? Interested to see what other technicians do? Join us for this new series of lunchtime talks where a senior technician will explain their job and the career pathway they took to get there.

This highly interactive virtual workshop will enable you to step back from the ‘day-to-day’ and focus on your career objectives, short and long term. You will have the opportunity to explore what development opportunities you could grasp and what networks might assist you.
