We are launching our Technician Development Poster Campaign across the University. We are looking for staff volunteers from all technical disciplines to take part. Our aim is to increase visibility of the important work that technicians do and highlight technician career pathways.
Posters will include a photo, a sentence describing your job role and a quote from you. There will be a QR code which will direct to a webpage on our Technician Development website about you and your technical career.
Here is a draft of the poster:
For your webpage, we would like to share your answers to the following questions:
- Describe your job.
- How did your technician career start?
- What does a typical day look like for you?
- What is your favourite part of the job?
- What is the most surprising thing that has happened to you?
- What are you most proud of?
- What advice would you give to someone thinking of a technician career?
Posters will be displayed in an exhibition at our Technician Conference on 30 September at the Ray Dolby Centre. Please do book a place if you would like to attend.
If you would like to volunteer for this, please fill out the Technician Development Poster Campaign form. Contact us if you require any support with this.
