This is the first of three events that the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, and University College London will be organising in 2025 to support the collaboration and professional development of technical staff based in large networks at universities across the UK.

This event, hosted by the University of Oxford, will give you the opportunity to learn more about outreach and community engagement to promote technical careers.

The timetable for this event is as follows:

10.30 - 10.45: Welcome from Vice-Chancellor Professor Irene Tracey

10.45 - 11.15: Dr Stuart Clare - Sharing your story - why people want to hear it and how can you get started

11.15 - 11.45: Michelle Rea - National campaigns to promote technical careers

11.45 - 12.00: Break

12.00 - 12.30: John Nicolson - Repair cafés – an alternative approach to outreach

12.30 - 13.30: Panel discussion and close

We would like to thank our speakers as well as the Technician Commitment Collaboration Fund for supporting this series of events.
