Technician Development

This highly interactive virtual workshop will enable you to step back from the ‘day-to-day’ and focus on your career objectives, short and long term. You will have the opportunity to explore what development opportunities you could grasp and what networks might assist you. You will also have time to reflect on what’s holding you back and how you can overcome these barriers to fulfil your career aspirations. You will leave the workshop with a personal career plan to consolidate and use as an action plan afterwards.

Target audience

  • University staff in technical roles
  • We particularly welcome women and BAME staff
  • PLEASE NOTE: To ensure a fair and representative spread of participation, it may be necessary to limit the number of places allocated to individuals from a single institution. Due to an extremely high demand for these workshops, PPD may need to prioritise places for individuals from key target groups.
  • This programme is not suitable for Research staff/postdoctoral research staff. Please refer to the University Careers Service for information on specific careers development support for this staff group.

Prerequisites
